Low Beam Headlamp -M29-/ -M31-, replacing
Removing
CAUTION:
- Switch off all electrical consumers.
- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.
- Remove small cover cap from rear of headlight housing.
- Turn socket (with connector) -1- counterclockwise -arrow- and pull out of headlight housing.
- Pull bulb -1- out of socket -2- in direction of -arrow-
- Replace bulb.
Installing
CAUTION: Do not touch glass portion of bulb with bare hands.
Even the smallest amount of moisture and/or contaminants from fingers
that evaporates on the bulb during operation can cause the glass to
cloud over.
- Reinstall socket (with connector) into headlight housing. Lock socket in place by turning clockwise.
- Reinstall cover cap and check headlight (bulb) function.
High Beam Headlamp -M30- / -M32-, replacing
Removing
CAUTION:
- Switch off all electrical consumers.
- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.
- Remove large cover cap from rear of headlight housing.
- Turn socket (with connector) -1- counterclockwise -arrow- and pull out of headlight
- Pull bulb -1- out of socket -2- in direction of -arrow-
- Replace bulb.
Installing
