How much does a fuse box for a Jeep Grand Cherokee 2000 cost?

I went to start my car this morning and I heard a sound much like blowing a fuse and sure enough, all lights went off. I couldn't start the car & nothing works (including door locks).

The sound you heard does not mean you need to replace the fuse box. It just means a fuse, or circuit breaker, or fusible link is blown. Just because one of those items may be blown; that doesn't mean the fuse box itself is defective. It may be caused by a wiring problem anywhere in the vehicle.

Since nothing electrical works; the first thing to do is to determine whether there is any power left in the battery. Try turning the headlights on, or stepping on the brake pedal to check for brakelights (which often are independent of the wiring for the other lights on the vehicle). If the headlights and brakelights both don't work; have the bettery tested. Batteries sometimes fail suddenly. If the battery is good; the problem is either in a fusible link, or one of the main circuit breakers.
