From what I can gather, people are pretty satisfied with the V-10, except for a) tendency for some engines under certain conditions to blow out sparkplugs (that is, actually blow them out of their holes), a situation that can be fixed without too much trouble, and b) not a great deal of pulling power while towing, especially in hilly country. I understand there are aftermarket parts for this engine to improve performance. Also MPG is not very good. I've read everything from 8 mpg towing to 13 mpg on the highway with no loads.
