    If I were the one selling the car, there would be very little if any wiggle room in the price and I would make that clear to you before you came to see it. If I'm selling one of my personal cars, I price them fairly, I disclose everything and I usually sell them the first day.

    Nobody can answer your question because some sellers pad their prices a bit and some (like myself) do not.

    Buying a used Volkswagen can be a risky venture given their reliability history.

    I would definatly take it to a trusted shop for an inspection.

    You can appraised the used car you are looking at using the Appraisal link under the Used Car tab above and use that number as your target price.

    The $100 for an independent inspection is good insurance when you buy a used car.
