1. Disconnect battery ground cable
2. Remove front engine mount bolts
3. Drain coolant, remove radiator hoses
4. Remove fan
5. Drain engine oil
6. Remove starter motor
7. Disconnect oil cooler lines and remove converter housing underpan
8.Disconnect steering rod at idler lever. Swing linkage to one side for pan clearance
9. Rotate crankshaft until timing makr on torsional damper is at 6 o'clock position
10. Raise engine enough to insert 2 X4 blocks under engine mounts
11. Unbolt oil pan. On some models/engines it may be necessary to remove the oil pump and intake tube, or remove the left engine mount for clearance. Lower the pan.
