lefty28	How to replace a door handle on my 05 Chevy Cobalt? We had an ice storm and my car doors were frozen shut. When I went to pull open the driver's side door, the handle broke off in my hand. How do I replace this and where do I get one to match the color?

You take off the interior door panel

Remove the 3 screws holding the outside door handle

TIP: Disconnect the outside handle rod from the lock assembly before removing the handle.

Probably you'll have to have the new handle painted to match unless you're lucky and can score a used one of the same color from a wrecker,

ask the dealer if they come painted--I kinda doubt it.

You can also buy them on Amazon, but I have no idea of the quality.
