How does one re-set the "Maint Req" light for a 08 Toyota Corolla?

Toyota dealer forgot to re-set it when it had oil change
after 4800 miles. 200 miles later light came on.

In Maintenance & Repair > Oil
In Makes & Models > Toyota > Corolla
In Maintenance & Repair > Scheduled Maintenance

This should be in your owner's manual:

Reset the system by the following procedure:




  1. Turn the ignition key to the "ACC" or "LOCK" position with the odometer reading shown.
  2. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position while holding down
    the trip meter reset button. Hold down the button for at least 5
    seconds, the odometer indicates "000000" and the light goes off. If the
    system fails to reset, the light will continue flashing.
