With the ignition key to ON, push the RESET button located in the driver's side instrument panel fuse block.
When the CHANGE OIL light starts to flash, press and hold the RESET button again. The reset is complete when you hear the chimes sound and the CHANGE OIL light goes out.

hey try this old gm trick. turn the key to the on position without starting...and push the gas pedal all the way to the floor three times in a row and watch the light...it should blink a few times and then go out. gm used that one on alot of cars and trucks from the late 90s and even to present.

MY HUSBAND HAS A 1989 CUTLAS LX THAT DID THE SAME THING WHEN THEY CHANGED HIS OIL AND IT HAS TO DO WITH A CENSOR THAT HAS TO BE SET RIGHT AFTER EACH OIL CHANGE. I'M NOT EXACTLY SURE HOW THEY FIXED IT BUT IF YOU CALL ANY REPAIR SHOP THAT DOES OIL CHANGES THEY CAN TELL YOU WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. IT HAPPENS ALOT AFTER OIL CHANGES IN SOME OLDS
