My book (alldata) says you have to remove the entire transaxle, so a 13+hour job.

How much oil is leaking out, in miles/quart? Have you tried gently tightening any loose pan bolts you can get to? How do you know it's the pan gasket?

Thanks. Removing the transaxle is GOT to be better than removing the engine. It leaks little, but smells alot. I have tried tightening the bolts - got worse. After wiping down the undercarriage...it is pretty obvious that the pan is leaking. 13 hours = a good week end job.

I like that optimistic approach...oh yeah, removing the engine would be no fun on that car. You might think about getting a workshop manual or subscribing toALLDATA for $26 bucks for the whole year.
