I have a 1971 GMC Jimmy 4x4 the rear brakes drag and will not release, constant pressure.

I've replaced the rear shoes and replaced the hardware kits as well. I replaced the master cylinder and the proportioning valve.

Have you replaced the hose from the frame to the axle? It may be collapsing internally and not allowing the brakes to release.

The other thought is that the emergency brake cable isn't releasing.
