I have a 2000 Ford F-150. My car won't shift into park. It gets as far as reverse and then it gets stuck. Any tips?

It is completely stuck. I have to pop it in neutral and then hit the e brake to keep it stopped.

well I had a simu prob I took to garage and had the trans cable replaced a no more problems
