the BAS, ESP, ETS thing has plagued these trucks (and all other MB cars) for as long as they've been in existence. The problen is usually a bad brake switch or a bad steering angle sensor. It could be a host of other malfunctioning control computers, but I doubt it. My advice is to have the issue diagnosed by an independent MB shop. Once the issue is identitied, you can decide how to proceed. Some stuff like the brake switch, you can DIY. Others may be more difficult to DIY. In any event, once you know what sensor or component is malfunctioning, you can come back here and we'll try and help.

This is the electronic stability program - brake assist system. When you brake,it allows appropriate braking action to each wheel to minimize a rollover happening and/or skid. Your brakes should still work but you've lost some of the vehicle's ability to take appropriate evasive action to avoid a collision. Did you ever notice that when one wheel was airborn
without contacting the pavement such as when driving over a curb on only one tire or sometimes in wintertime when driving on an uneven snow pile that flashing triangle on your dashboard?
