What you need to do is pull that wire taut, then move it around, while still taut, and see if you can find the end it connects to.
I hit a plastic bucket on the interstate this morning on my way to work and it was fed underneath the black plastic guard underneath the radiator. I can't match it up. Its long and was hanging right behind the front wheel. Any ideas on what it might be?
no idea and I'm not sure anyone could tell you without seeing it. You might get the car on a lift and make sure it's not something important like for a cooling fan.
