Well, as I've said to others with more than 1 carseat who want a 3rd row, a minivan is your only practical option. Reason being that, with carseats on both sides of the middle row, you would have to remove the carseat to be able to fold the seat forward to gain access to the 3rd row. This is something you obviously don't want to have to do all the time.

So, you need a minivan and you want AWD. I think that pretty much narrows it down to the Toyota Sienna, if I'm not mistaken.

    (1)2003-NEW Honda Pilot(2003-2005 AWD Standard. 2006+its optional)

The Honda Pilot. Its not the best looking SUV ever but it sure is practical! Its also very safe! FYI, the Pilot Didn't recieve side curtain airbags until the freshning in 2006 but still passed crash tests with flying colors!! Edmunds had a long term Pilot and only had 1 problem. So its also very reliable. Its revised ratings for MPG is 15city/21highway for AWD models.

    General facts:
15/21MPG based on 2008 testing standards.

    8 passenger seating 2/3/3 with sliding/reclining 2nd row and reclining 3rd row

Optional Navigation System and Optional DVD player but can't be ordered togather from honda(IMO buy with the DVD player and then but a garmin/tomtom/navigon).

The best bet is the EX model from any year. AVOID LX as they are stipped and come with steel wheels and a plastic grey door panel(2003-2005).

    244hp 3.5l V6 w/ 240lbs ft of torque.

The Chevy Tahoe and Suburban also offer a great alternative as well. The Honda Pilot still doesn't get any better miliage than a a Tahoe in real world driving. A used Tahoe in Ohio would be easier to find in Ohio than a Honda Pilot. But when all is said and done a Minivan still offers better economy and if you can find an AWD one go for it.
