    I suspect the problem is not the thermostat but a clogged heater core. Feel the heater core hoses that run into the passenger side firewall to see if they get hot when the car is at operating temperature. If not, remove the hoses and flush the heater core with your garden hose, pulsing the water on and off till the water runs clear. Reconnect the hoses and top off the radiator coolant and you're done!
