I bought an Hyundai Elantra still covered under the 5 year original warranty. When does the 5 years start? Delivery to dealer or odometer.

I purchased a used 2007 Elantra Hyundai on May 4th of this year. It had 12,890 miles on the odometer at the time of sale. At my first service(15,000 miles) I was told that the 5-yr warranty started on May 1, 2007, which was the date the vehicle was delivered to the dealer. However, the first odometer reading as shown in "auto check" was 28 miles on 11/04/ 2007. Shouldn't the 5 year warranty start on 11/04/07, rather than 5/1/07?

The warranty should begin to run when the vehicle was first titled to the original owner. That should be in the auto check report.
