    Wrong answer from the dealer. While it is true that modern cars do have small current drains (in milliamps) there is no reason why a car cannot lay dormant for WEEKS and still start up fine.

    I would, were I in your shoes, insist on a thorough test of the alternator output and the battery's ability to withstand a "load test". Should these two tests prove satisfactory, I would then have the drain on the battery measured to make sure it is not excessive due to some electrical fault.
