I want to do my own oil change in my 2007 ES350 Lexus and I would really appreciate some directions ,such as what has to be removed to get to oil pan ,and filter ETC.

2 ideas:1st- buy a service manual for the car. it's new enough that you can get your money out of the book. ht will explain how to replace basically every part on the vehicle.2nd- if all you want to do is your own oil changes, go pay for one to be done. ask if you can watch the service being performed. take notes, do the next one yourself.

Not hard to do at all. The drain plug is easily accesible under the engine without need to remove any shield. You may need a replacement washer for the drain plug. Because this car uses a permanent oil filter canister, you do need to buy a "special service tool" to open the canister and get your replacement filter element at the dealer or from someone that stocks specific lexus/toyota parts over the internet. Once you unscrew the canister, you pull out the assembly, yank the filter element out with pliers and replace the large o ring around the assembly.

If you have no background changing motor oil, I wouldn't recommend trying it now. This could be a $7000 experiment gone wrong if you screw it up. I agree you should pay to have it done, preferably at the dealer.
