I changed my power steering powerline. The car feels heavy and unreponsive when I turn the wheel. Is it the pump?

The powerline of my powersteering system was corroded. I had it changed. Eversince then the car feels heavy when I drive it. When I begin to turn the steering wheel, the car fights me. I don't know if the powersteering pump is going bad or if my rack and pinion system is going bad. My car has over 93000 miles on it. Is it worth changing the pump or the rack on an old car.

Need type car and model .

I think you had a hose changed, is this right?

It might be low on fluid or air in the system . I 'd put both front wheels up off the ground and turn the tires back and forth with the engine running this will get the air out. Add fluid if it drops out of view on the reservoir.
