    It's most likely the blender doors got stuck after a long summer. The blender doors are in the vent ductwork and mix cool outside air with the hot air from the heater core. If one of the doors gets stuck, some of the vents will just blow all cold or all hot. If you get in under the dash on the passenger side, you can open up the duct assembly and see if it is stuck or there is some debris holding it open. Just clean it out and apply a dab of oil and you should be OK. One other thing to check is the vacuum hose for that control. If it's cracked or leaking it won't open the blender door. Check under the hood for the hose going into the firewall and inspect it. Good luck!
