The first thing to do is to check and see if the oil level on the dipstick is in the normal range. If there is oil in the engine, and the engine is not making strange noises; the oil pressure sending unit probably needs to be replaced. That is a simple part to change, which just screws in to the engine. But if there is no oil in the motor; then you may have a serious mechanical problem. Fill it with oil, drive it, and see if the light goes out. If the light stays on, or if bad noises continue; you need to take it in to a shop. If the car is still under warranty; the dealership should fix it for free.
