Of course you've done all your research on the vehicle on Edmunds.com as well as looking up True Market Value. The process of buying out of state is about the same, once you've finished your transaction and are signing the paperwork in the Finance office there are a few differences. There will be no taxes charged from Ohio because you don't live there, sometimes an out of state dealer will offer to pay your local taxes and include them in the deal. Be prepared to pay all your taxes back in NY just in case and maybe call your local tag and title office to find out if there any impact fees for registering a vehicle from out of state as well as taxes.
