I need to find the switched side of the parking brake, the side that becomes grounded when the brake is applied.

I bought a radio which has video. To view the video the car has to be in park. A wire needs to be connected to the parking brake circuit.

You need to connect that wire to the ground on the parking brake switch,,,why ?

Just connect it to any ground point, the radio won't know what ground you connected the wire to.
