    Sir the thermastat is staying open and letting the cold water thru before the engine needs cooled down. So you do need a new thermostat. Track the top hose from the radiator to the engine,the stat will be under it. Remove 2 bolts and liftup the housing it will be inside. Clean the edges of the housing to remove the old gasket and replace with a new one. Place the new thermostat in the housing BE SURE THE SIDE OF THE STAT THAT SAYS FACE ENGINE, FACES THE ENGINE. replace 2 bolts. done... markjeffrey

    the themostat is located behind your radiator hose at the block,most likely in the front of engine,to get to it you just remove the small housing at the end of the hose connected to the block removing the 2 to 4 screws,behind tha you will find your thermostat!
