I am replacing a head gasket on a 1994 Honda Accord EX and I need to find out a ballpark amount on the labor.

I am working on a 1994 Honda Accord EX 4dr Sedan V-Tech engine. The car was ran very hot down the hwy for a long period of time. To which in turn blew the head gasket, and was building pressure in the radiator from the blow-by.The head is being checked out by a local machine shop, for any cracks or warping, or valves bad.But it is looking that it's ok. The timing beltwas replaced 6 mo. ago.The block also is in good condition, with no problems. I am needing to get a ballpark guesstamation on what the labor would cost for the replcement of the head gasket. "Thank You" Brad

My book list at 5.3 hours, plus another 1.5 for A/C, P/S, and the fact that it is a V-tech engine, so almost about 7 hours total time. 77civic

You are looking at between $700-$900 in labor charges assuming nothing else is wrong.
