I'm trying to sell my 2000 Dodge Ram. The truck has loads of accessories. Needs advertising. Where?

The dodge has a lift sitting on 35 nittos. New trans new gears {410} and also a new 365 magnum. Its advertised on craigslist and on truck trader. It's been listed for 8 months and has no bites. Is there something else i can do?

do you have the stock size wheels and tires ?

If you return the vehicle to stock configuration and throw all of those parts in as extras to sweeten up the deal then you have a better possibility of selling this truck.

as i see it you got 2 major stumbling blocks working against you.

1. nobody wants big gas sucking monster trucks,,,,,even when the economy is good 75% of the people don't want gas sucking monster trucks.

2. you built this truck for a particular purpose or need or desire and it is a reflection of your personality and as such your personality is unique to you as an individual,,, so this truck will only appeal to a very small segment of the population.

You can spring for an ad on Yahoo autos, but bear in mind that you have two things going against you; the lousy economy has pretty well shot down public interest in modified vehicles, and savvy buyers are usually turned off by an ad for a jacked up truck with a new engine and driveline, because it indicates that the vehicle has been driven hard and probably abused.

If you really want to sell it; get rid of those tires and the lift kit; and advertise it as a regular truck.
