If you go to www.nadaguides.com enter your zip code and click on "classic cars" button, you can look up the value of any pre-1980 car based on its condition, installed options and mileage. You can also do a search on eBay motors for that particular vehicle and see what they are actually being sold for across the entire country. This will give you a pretty good idea of what would be a reasonable asking price. Luckily for you, there is a bit of a cult following for older Suburbans so you can probably get good money if the truck is in good condition! The way to thank the people that help you here is to click on the “thumbs up” button on the bottom of the answer. Please do so if you find their answer helpful or they may just stop trying to help in the future! Thanks and good luck!

Place an ad up on your local Craigslist.org site to see the response you would get.

Put up a good but brief description, and 4 good photos and an asking price.

If you get no calls or email within 3 days, then keep dropping the price by $250-$500 at a time until you do start to get calls and some interest in it.

This way you'll be able to sell a well priced vehicle within a week.
