    Sounds like your starter solenoid or starter may need to be checked or replaced. This may explain the random starting patterns. I would start with having the battery tested first to make sure I have the required cranking amps. Many times a dead cell is lurking in the battery or low acid levels. Many Auto part stores will test your battery for free.
