I want to tow my 06 Toyota Highlander Hybrid with all 4 wheels down.

Toyota states that the highlander hybrid cannot be towed with all wheels down. I have the 2wd version so luckily I can use a tow dolly, but what a pain compared to using a tow bar. I understand that the ford explorer as well as the saturn vue use toyotas old hybrid technology;in fact I've been told that their systems are in fact toyotas products. Ford as well as saturn approve of their hybrids being towed with all wheels down. Do I dare attempt to tow my hybid in such a manner? Could toyota just be trying to avoid consumer dissatification in case of possible failures or is it truly a different system than the other two? Thank-You Very Much

umm i guess if toyota says that it can't be done i guess they mean that it can't or should'nt be done.

you can do whatever you want to,,but if it damages your car then you can kick your own self in the back door.

All Toyota Hybrids are tow dolly only. The only suggestion I can make is to explore the various hybrid forums on the Internet and see if anyone else has successfully gotten away with it. Or you could just rent a cheap car for a month and it'll cost less than all the special tow equipment anyhow.
