Laws vary from one State to another, but a partial disclosure is not the same as a full disclosure. In some States, making a partial disclosure (the car was in an accident) could open the seller to more responsibility than no disclosure at all. A judge may find that the partial disclosure was misleading by not offering full information. The price paid for the vehicle also enters into it. Buying a vehicle considerably below retail places more responsibilty with the buyer.
