Ignition spins freely on an 88 GMC S15. The lights and buzzer come on when I turn it backwards to aux. Jump start no help.
I have a 88 GMC S15. The ignition spins freely and will not start. The first time it happened, I fiddled with it and it started. But I can't get it to work again. A jump start is no help. It works when I turn it backwards to the auxillary position, the lights and buzzer come on, but nothing happens when turning it forward.

You will need to remove the steering wheel to change the lock cylinder.
