Is the 2008 Toyota Highlander Hybrid a 4WD or AWD?

I'm confused, edmunds says its AWD, toyota website it is AWD. Which is which?

In Makes & Models > Toyota > Highlander Hybrid
In Maintenance & Repair > Transmission

The Hybrid model the electric motors to assist in powering the rear wheels. The system varies the rear torque as needed. It's touted as Electronic On-Demand 4WD. Whether they call it AWD or 4WD-i (that's what Toyota actually labels it), it's a full time system and completely automatic.
