The Talon tsi produced before April 1992 has a better engine. If your car was manufactured after April 1992, it might be prone to engine problems.

The Eagle is a joint venture of Chrysler and Mitsubishi. Probably parts would be difficult and expensive. Pre-april '92 Talon TSi's are popular for hot-rodding, so if you have one of those the engine might be the most valuable part of the car.

You can't buy much for $1,500, so if the car checks out in a mechanical inspection it might be okay. But it wouldn't be a good car to sink money into, and if something major breaks, you'd pretty much have to throw the car away.

Turbo cars bought used tend to have been thrashed by previous owners. I wouldn't touch this car without paying a shop to go over it before you buy it. It's worth the $100-$150 to find out if the car has any life left in it.
