CarMax does occasionally lower prices in response to market conditions (i.e., "we've had this one for six weeks and it's not moving"), but in my experience they are not interested in negotiating at all.
No two used cars are ever the same. You can buy a ratty one and maybe "save" 2000.00 but do you really want to do this?I think that if CARMAX starts haggling on their prices it would totally undermine their "no haggle" policy that has been their claim to fame.
