Is there a way for changing Japanese language on a Navigation System display screen to English? Toyota Landcruiser.

The Navigation System fitted on my Toyota Landcruiser VX8 Limited communicates in Japanese language. As I do not understand the language is there anyway for translating it to English Language? If so, how, please?

was it originally built for sale in the US? if so, english is probably the default language and someone changed the default and could not figure out how to switch it back. if you don't know anyone who can read japaneese, and don't care to learn how to read it yourself, you might try disconnecting either the stereo from the car, or the car's battery for 5 minutes or so, and seeing if allowing the system to reset will put it back to the default english language setting.
