Is it possible to switch the front seat cushions on 2000 Honda Odyssey?
Due to uneven wear, I would like to switch the front seat cushions on my 2000 Honda Odyssey. Just the cushions, not the underlying mechanics.

I replaced the seat covers on a 1988 CRX once. It was a Honda part I bought at the dealer's parts department. There were fussy upholstery clampa and rings at the bottom and underneath the seat. I had to take the seats out of the car to do it -- 4 bolts and one wire harness to unplug. I was able to slide the whole covering off in one piece so there was nothing left but bare foam. I din't change the foam, just the worn fabric cover with split seams. When I was done it looked like new. It took me about one hour per side. If Honda sells the parts the same way for an Odyssey, and you are good at figuring out how to take things apart and put them back together again, you can probably do it. You could also take the new skins to a car upholstery shop and pay them to install them for you.
