A turbocharger uses exhaust gasses (dirty), a supercharger uses fresh intake air. Both develop more power by forced induction. For myself I choose supercharger over turbo.

What you need to consider in adding a turbo or SC to your Elantra is its ability to handle the additional horsepower and torque. If not you will see a failed trans or motor due to the additional stress placed on the components.

I'll take option C. Trade it in for a faster car.

i would say a turbo would be better because the transmissions on those cars are tough but not that tough...a super charger may boost your torq to the point of trouble

There is no better or worse, they both have tradeoffs
do you want throttle response or can you deal with a tiiny bit of lag for more power?
If you want your car to respond immediately when you step on the throttle and are willing to give up some power for it, get a supercharger. If you can deal with a little lag as the boost builds and want more power overall, get a turbocharger. thats BASICALLY what it comes down to

since I assume you're getting a kit, make sure you keep the boost low so you dont mess up the rest of your car
turbochargers use exhaust gas to spin a turbine to suck air fromt he atmosphere and force it into the engine, not the actual exhaust gases into the engine
superchargers use a belt to suck air from the atmosphere and force it into the engine
