Is there is a rating system for cars based on driver head & leg room?

I'm 6' 8" tall, and I weigh about 240 lbs. Few cars provide enough head and leg room for me. I've driven everything from full sized pickups (my favorite) to Pintos (Remember those?). I can get in and out of anything, but when it comes to long trip comfort, most vehicles don't provide enough space. I'm ready to trade, and I'd really like to find a sedan that's extra roomy. I'm considering a Mercury Grand Marquis, but would like to have other options. Any suggestions?

When I sold Nissans, I noticed that the Altima was one vehicle we had that accomodated tall people very well. Give that vehicle a try!

Good luck!

Well you could first off sit in a car that you THINK might be comfortable enough (in the showroom) and then compare that car to the measurements offered at www.edmunds.com, in the "new car" section. Then click on "comparisons"

http://www.edmunds.com/apps/nvc/edmunds/...

This will allow you to compare up to 5 vehicles. once you've plugged in info on all five, hit the "specifications" tab and it'll show you all the interior measurements of all five cars!

CAUTION: Specs are just specs. Every body is built differently. You might have long torso and short legs, or vice-versa, so even though leg room is the same for two cars, they might still feel different to you, depending on seats, headroom, shoulder width, etc.
