The original Honda Insight made from 99-04 had a manual transmission. As for new hybrid vehicles there are none that have manual transmissions.

If you're looking to buy a car that's good on the environment and fun to drive with a manual transmission, I'd look at many of today's non-hybrid compacts like the Civics, Mazda3, Subaru Imprezas, even 4 cylinder Accords, as they already have excellent fuel economy and low emissions, AND are fun to drive.

Hybrids are typically boring to drive and contrary to what some people think, they're not the end all answer to oil, pollution and global warming woes.

Not currently, but the yet to be released Honda CR-Z will have a manual transmission. Unfortunately, it is only a 2 seater so it has limited appeal. It will be available in North America and Europe this summer. You'd be much better off with either the Volkswagen Jetta and Golf TDI diesels that get hybrid like economy, at least on the highway, with a superb manual transmission.

I forgot about the Diesels. That's a great suggestion by Karjunkie because those VWs have excellent fuel economy and are fun to drive! Plus diesels these days are much much cleaner than what they used to be 20 years ago,

The 2005 Honda Civic Hybrid MT Sedan with manual transmission is rated 46 mpg city and 52 mpg hwy. Like the previous post indicated there are some on their way but not available yet. Honda and Nissan have them listed but not available.
