    I'm OP, and I now answer my own question because nobody reads this part of the web. If you have a question, post it elsewhere, someplace with some traffic.

    Connecting the solenoid is easy if the connectors are in the correct orientation. They can be 180 degrees off and look as though they are correct.

    The compressor is controlled indirectly by the level sensor attached between the (center of the) axle and the unibody. When extended, as when the wheels are hanging, the sensor won't activate the compressor.

    The bags must be properly folded before inflation.
