Timing mark set correct?
I like to remove the no# 1 plug and place a long plastic straw in the cylinder. As I turn the cylinder over it raises the straw up, then when it stops moving up, it is at TDC. The cam should be at a postion where the hole on the gear lines up to a mark behind the hole on the cylinder head,.
If not aligned, rotate the crank around one more 360 turn. The cam will only turn half way around and now be at the cam TDC mark on the cylinder head.oo.
