Looking for used Mid-Sized wagon for up to $5000. Which car and model would be most reliable and best value?

Looking for a used Mid Sized Wagon and contemplating between the various brands models and year made. I'm seeking a reliable car that will not be too expensive to service and preferably not too heavy on gas consumption.

Now just so you know up front-you may have to spend a bit more.Ok I suggest the Chrysler Pacifica!! I own one and love it seats 6 nicley and they come with looots of options. They drive like a car, snug to the ground, good cornering, awesome turning radis and I think they are one of the sport"ier" looking mini vans.My insurance co.classified it as a S.U.V. Chrysler calls it a cross-over.Whatever you want to call it test drive one atleast.

When you say " a mid sized wagon " i figure that you do not want a " mini-van ".

According to edmunds dot com a used wagon around 2001 vintage can be had for about $ 4 - 7 thousand dollars.

For under $ 5000.00 you can get a ,,suzuki and a mitsubishi.

For about $ 5000.00 to $ 6000.00 you can get a mazda,,ford,,mercury and a subaru.

For about $ 6000.00 to $ 7000.00 you can get a volkswagen and a volvo.

And for over $ 10,000 you can get a mercedes.

All of the japanese cars should be reliable up to 150,000 miles

The volkswagen should be reliabe up to 150,000 miles.

The ford and mercury should be reliable up to 200,000 miles

The volvo and mercedes should go over 200,000 + miles.
