Let's clarify here. If you are climbing or accelerating, the transmission should drop OUT of overdrive and into a lower gear. Are you saying that it doesn't downshift out of OD but says in OD even going uphill or accelerating?
on light accelerations and gradual inclines it jolts or like something is slipping quickly and then catching. if put my foot into the pedal harder, it will downshift.
About all I can say is that it sounds like presssure is being lost momentarily at the torque converter clutch plate pak. Aside from checking fluid levels and maybe have a filter change, about all you can do is have the unit professionally tested.
