My 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee defrost system stays on no matter what setting I put it on; what could fix this?

2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee - Defrost stays on no matter what setting I put the controls on, it will not blow out of the vents when I change the controls to blow out the top console or down by the feet.

In Maintenance & Repair > Heating / Cooling > Air Conditioner
In Makes & Models > Jeep > Grand Cherokee
