    It does not sound like a problem with the instrument cluster itself. First step should be to clean and tighten all battery connections, particularly the negative ground cable from battery to the ground point. Also have the battery and alternator tested. Most auto parts stores will do that for free. If all that fails come back and we'll take it from there.

    No problem with the battery, removed earth leads cleaned and the problem is just the same.
