lpd819	On my 2006 GMC Envoy Denali, my oil pressure drops and my engine light comes on at 1400 miles. When oils changed it clears. My Envoy Denali is an 2006. Around 1400 miles the check engine light comes on and the oil pressure drops. I can change the oil and the pressure goes to normal and stays till about the same mileage. I have replaced the oil sending unit. I am concerned if the oil pump is bad. I watch my vehicle settings and when the oil is about 70% remaining it starts having problems. When the light comes on and the pressure drops the valves start knocking. When I change the oil its back to normal till the next 1400 miles. Any suggestions.

Sounds as though the oil is thinning out. If the color of the oil looks like coffee with milk, there may be coolant leaking into the oil.
If your owner's manual gives you an option of different thicknesses of oil to use, try the thicker oil. Excessive heat will thin out an oil. Check that you do not have a coolant level drop and that the engine is not running hot.
