On the 2001 Nissan Maxima 3.0, are cylinders 1, 3, and 5 along the firewall left to right as you face the engine?

This is my daughter's car and it has a #5 misfire code--I'm guessing bad ignition coil based on her description of loss of power/shutter at times in 3rd, 4th, and 5th. Started out doing it once a month, then once a week, now ever other day. Car has 173K with new plugs @110K.

i would check the sparkplug itself. if it is wet, than that means its not the fuel injectors because they are doing their job, its a bad sparkplug, sparkplug wire. in this case multiple sparkplugs, or sparkplug wires. that or it could be your ignition coil as well, but good luck.
