Bad temperature sensor. I had that with my accord. If the coolant hose is tight, then you have a problem. If its loose, then you have a bad sensor.
BTW, the ones from parts stores often read optimistic... At least for me.

I'll have to call around and
get one..someone mentioned that to me.
they thought the gauge was reading
incorrect - I also need to check
the coolant temp in the radiator,
sucks because I am down some cash now and
still am not rolling .
