From the information I found Honda knows about this problem & it effects a range of vehicles like the Civic to the Pilot. Basically, the problem is the EVAP bypass solenoid valve. Honda says they fail due to corrosion or water getting in side of them. Most importantly, the corrosion can be severe enough to cause an internal short in the solenoid valve which could damage the PCM. When the PCM is damaged your car will not run properly or maybe not run at all.
I recommend that you take the car to either the dealer or an professional independent shop to properly diagnose the vehicle.
