Pontiac Aztek Transmission not shifting into fourth.

My 2001 pontiac aztek will not shift into 4th gear, why is this?

In Maintenance & Repair > Transmission > Shifting
In Makes & Models > Pontiac > Aztek

This is not my area of expertise....for sure. It could be that the trans needs a rebuild. But I do know most of the new transmissions use solenoids to do the shifting. These do go out. Might try starting there.
